Kalmar has secured an order from Yilport Oslo Terminal Investments AS for three electric reachstackers, extending a partnership that dates back to 2016.

The agreement builds on a recently signed three-year Kalmar Complete Care service contract. The order was booked in Q4 2025, with delivery scheduled for early Q4 2026.
The Oslo terminal already operates a range of Kalmar equipment, including an electric medium forklift and an ECO reachstacker, reflecting a phased transition towards lower-emission yard operations.
Bjørn Engelsen, Terminal Director, Yilport Oslo Terminal, said: “We selected Kalmar’s electric reachstackers to further reduce our CO2 emissions and advance our environmental goals. At the same time, we needed assurance that the machines could deliver the uptime and performance our operations require.
“With the strong service partnership, the proven reliability of Kalmar equipment, and the performance data provided by Kalmar, we are confident these electric reachstackers will support our continued operational success.”
Kalmar views the order as a continuation of a joint decarbonisation journey, with Yilport progressively transitioning its fleet from diesel to hybrid and now fully electric solutions.
Bredo Steen-Gundersen, Country Director Norway, Kalmar, stated: “We highly appreciate our long-standing relationship with Yilport and the journey we have taken together. Seeing their fleet evolve from diesel to Eco machines and now to fully electric solutions highlights their strong commitment to reducing CO2 emissions. We are proud to partner with them and support their ongoing efforts to achieve their environmental goals.”
This follows a separate agreement in which Kalmar will supply Opleidingscentrum voor Havenarbeiders (OCHA), based in Antwerp, with two hybrid straddle carriers.
